My current project entails two floating nightstands made from Walnut. Here are some specs:
- Walnut for the case top and sides and for the drawer front
- Maple for the case back and drawer sides, back and bottom.
- Stands will attach to wall with two keyhole slots on the back
- Pencil roll detail milled into the side tops
- Biscuits used to attach case sides and top and back
- Dovetail joinery on the drawer front
- Drawer runs on 1/2" runners

Process for making the pencil roll on the sides below. Starts with a cove bit on the router, moves to simple chisel work.
